The Journey So Far
From Creative Roots to Operational Clarity
My journey began behind a camera. After earning my degree in Film and Video Production from Brooks Institute of Photography, I started my career as a videographer and editor at a local news station in Santa Barbara, California. Covering everything from city hall meetings to wildfires taught me how to find clarity in chaos; a skill that’s shaped every chapter of my career.
After the 2008 housing crisis disrupted the media industry, I transitioned into visual effects with Legend 3D, advancing from a junior artist role to VFX Supervisor and helped establish the company’s Toronto studio. I led cross-functional teams, mentored artists, and contributed to the development of production pipelines that improved efficiency across the company.
After the Toronto office closed, I pivoted once again, this time into marketing production and operations management, combining my creative background with a growing passion for systems thinking. Then during the pandemic, I continued creating and managing projects independently, producing virtual events and even co-founding a successful restaurant brand with my wife, achieving profitability within months with zero capital investment.
Along the way, I earned my PMP® certification and began consulting for tech and creative startups seeking operational clarity and leadership. Each career transformation has reinforced my belief that adaptability, structure, and empathy are the foundations of sustainable growth.
Today, I help founders and creative teams bridge vision with execution through practical frameworks and transparent communication; building systems that scale, and teams that thrive.
